ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Dear viewers The main purpose of this Faculty Development Programme “Network Simulator (NS-2) For Wireless Networks ” is to create awareness and enrich knowledge for research scholars, faculty and students in the area of Network simulation using NS2. This training is aimed at enhancing the skill and knowledge in the fields of networks, especially wireless ad hoc networks.
ENVISAGED COVERAGE
Day 1:
- Basic concepts of Networks
- Emphasis on networking in Industry/ Research
- Introduction and Installation of NS2
- TCL programming
- Plotting X graph
- Trace file analysis using AWK scripts
Day 2:
- Working with simple examples
- Hands on session – wired networks
- Hands on session – wireless networks
- C++ and OTCL Integration method
- Hands on session – Implementation of new protocols and
- performance evaluation of routing protocols
- Hands on session – Energy & Security model
PARTICIPANTS
The workshop is open to Faculty members, PG students, Research scholars and persons working in R & D organizations and Industries.
