Dear viewers THIGARAJAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING Conducting workshop. The World Bank Supported Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) is a long term Programme, being implemented in three phases for a systemic transformation of the Technical Education System in India.
Topic to be covered:
• Statistical Concepts
- Modelling of Data:
- Linear Regression, ANOVA
• Discussion on Case Studies
- Functional Network:
- Approximate Bayesian
- Computation (ABC) methods
- for hierarchical statistical models,
- DNA Sequence,
• Hands on Training on R
- Plotting in R:
- Statistical Analysis.
The R environment:
R is an integrated suite of software facilities for data manipulation, calculation and graphical display. It includes
- an effective data handling and storage facility,
- a suite of operators for calculations on arrays, in particular matrices,
- a large, coherent, integrated collection of intermediate tools for data analysis,
- graphical facilities for data analysis and display either on-screen or on hardcopy, and
- a well-developed, simple and effective programming language which includes conditionals, loops, user-defined recursive functions and input and output facilities.

Faculty/Research Scholars (M.Phil, PhD) from Engineering Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges Industries and R&D organizations.
