About Event:
India Space Academy is pleased to announce the Summer Training on Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Systems (GIS) 2025, a premier educational initiative aimed at equipping students with cutting-edge knowledge in geospatial sciences. This online training program is developed in collaboration with renowned scientists from ISRO, NASA, IITs, and the India Meteorological Department, under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.
The 30-day training will be led by national and international experts, featuring interactive lectures and hands-on sessions, providing participants with practical insights into the applications of remote sensing and GIS in socio-economic development and advancing UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Eligibility & Application Process:
- Open to Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and PhD students who are currently pursuing or have completed their degrees.
- Admission is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, with 710 seats available. The registration portal will close once capacity is reached.
- Note: The duration of the training may vary, with a minimum period of 15 days and a maximum of 35 days, subject to modifications deemed necessary by the India Space Academy organizing team based on program requirements.
Fee Structure:
- Training Fee: ₹ 1,545/-
- Covers expert-led instruction, administrative processing, training platform access, hard copy of the certificate, and postal & packaging charges.
Internship Opportunity:
Participants who undertake a project under India Space Week and submit a report within 15 days post-training will have their training upgraded to an internship. This internship will be conducted online, with no stipend provision.
