ABOUT THE FDTP

The FDTP is intended to provide opportunity for young faculty members to enrich their knowledge in the area of Computer Networks. This FDTP is an attempt to support colleges and faculty members to handle Computer networks.

The course will cover the following topics :

• Fundamentals and Link Layer
• Media Access – Ethernet, Wireless LAN
• Internetworking – IP, CIDR, ARP, DHCP, ICMP
• Routing – RIP, OSPF, BGP,DVMRP, PIM
• Transport Layer – UDP, TCP,QoS
• Application Layer – SMTP, POP3,IMAP, HTTP, DNS, SNMP

ABOUT THE REGISTRATION

• Number of seats is restricted to 25.
• Selection on first come first serve basis.
• Preference will be given to the young faculty based on eligibility criteria.
• Selected candidates will be intimated by e-mail.
• Confirmation of participation is to be made by email.
• No TA/DA will be paid.
• No Registration Fee.
• No accommodation will be provided. Send the duly filled in Registration forms to the Coordinator(s) by post.
