INTRODUCTION
Dear viewers KONGU ENGINEERING COLLEGE Conducting National Level Seminar.The scope of this seminar is to provide an overview about the gene, impact of genes on disease, computational methods concerned with genetic diseases analysis and disease predictions and enlightens a way for future research scope in genomics.
Topics include :
- Gene Data analysis using R
- Predicting disease classes using Micro array data
- Machine learning approach for genetics.
- Genome analysis and disease prediction using MATLAB.
- Dimensionality reduction methods
- Gene expression data
- Biological models of genetic diseases
ELIGIBILITY
Teachers, research scholars and students from various AICTE approved Engineering Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges and Polytechnics with relevant background can participate. Candidates from
Industries and R&D organizations may also be considered on a self-supporting basis.
BOARDING AND LODGING
Accommodation and boarding will be provided for the needy in the college campus at a nominal cost.

Registration Fee Rs. 300/-
Boarding & Lodging (24 hours from the time ofcheck in) Rs. 200/- (per day)
Demand Draft for the registration fee must be drawn in the favor of “Kongu Engineering College – Grants”, payable at Perundurai.
