About the Event :

A 3-day National Workshop on Space Technology will be held from 6th to 8th October 2026 at Sister Nivedita University, New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal. This offline workshop is for Students pursuing Ph.D. program, final year of M.Sc, or have completed M.Sc. degree on or after 2025. The focus area of this workshop are Remote Sensing, Aditya-L1 Payloads and Data Processing. This workshop is organized by Aditya L-1 Support Cell, ISRO and ARIES.

Workshop Contents:

The following topics will be covered,

  • Introduction to Aditya-L1 Payloads and Data Processing.
  • Advanced Projects on Remote Sensing and In-Situ Payloads.
  • Proposal Writing and Submission at the Aditya-L1 Proposal Processing System.

Who can apply :

Students who meet one or more of the following criteria are eligible to apply:

  • Students pursuing Ph.D. program in Solar Physics, Heliophysics, or Space Physics.
  • Students who have are in their final year of M.Sc or have completed their M.Sc or Integrated M.Sc. degree on or after 2025 and have completed a thesis in Solar Physics, Heliophysics, or Space Physics.

Note:

  • Limited seats are only available
  • Preference will be accorded to Ph.D. candidates who are working with Aditya-L1 data or have a strong interest in doing so.
