About Event:

The Faculty Development Program on “Al-Driven Innovations in Power Converters for Optimized Renewable Energy Utilization” explores the cutting-edge intersection of artificial intelligence and power electronics in renewable energy systems. This comprehensive program is designed to equip faculty members with advanced knowledge of how Al algorithms are revolutionizing power converter design, control strategies and performance optimization in solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy applications. Participants will gain insights into machine learning techniques for predictive maintenance, intelligent grid integration and adaptive power management systems that maximize energy harvesting efficiency while ensuring grid stability and reliability. Featuring expert-led sessions, the program covers real-time Al applications in power converter topologies, such as DC-DC converters, inverters and multi-level converters tailored for renewable energy systems. Faculty will engage with neural networks, fuzzy logic controllers, and optimization algorithms through practical case studies of global Al-driven renewable energy projects. About Department:

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2010 with an intake of 60. Department is well equipped with modernized Electrical Machines Lab, Control and Instrumentation Lab, Electronic Devices and Circuits Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Power System Simulation Lab. Renewable Energy Technology Lab, Engineering Practices Lab, Project Lab, CoE in loT & Embedded Systems Lab and Centre for Technology Transfer & Product Development has been set up for providing the practical exposure. Students have been placed in various MNCs such as TCS, CTS and WIPRO. The department has filed 23 patents and 10 industrial designs for product development in which five patents were granted. The department has received various f NABARD, EDIT, MSME, CSIR, ICSSR, TNSCST and Niral Thiruvizha.
