About the Conference:
National Conference on Condensed Matter Physics is an annual event of the Department, and CMPA2025 is the 13th in the series. This conference will provide a platform for academicians, teachers, and young researchers to interact with distinguished scientists in the field and to learn about the latest developments in the field of Condensed Matter Physics. It aims at kindling interest in the minds of young students to pursue research as their career. It is anticipated that the Conference will expand research opportunities and promote interdisciplinary collaboration among the participants

About the Institution:
Manipal Institute of Technology, a constituent institute of MAHE is one of the premier institutes in the country imparting quality education in engineering. Founded by the great visionary and founder of Manipal, Dr. T M A Pai, in 1957. It is the first self-financing engineering institute in India and a constituent institute of MAHE. The institute offers 21 undergraduate programs and 29 postgraduate programs in various disciplines. It also offers research programs leading to Ph.D.
About the Department:
Department of Physics is one of the founder departments of the Institute. Currently the department has grown and developed into a centre of PG studies and research with a faculty strength of 19. Faculty are specialized in various fields such as Condensed Matter Physics, Thin Film Devices and Theoretical Physics. The total external funds received by the Department for various research projects is over Rs. 60 Million. The department offers open elective subjects to BTech/MTech students apart from teaching Engineering Physics. The department offers MSc (Physics) and PhD programs. Presently, about ninety students are pursuing PhD in the department (83 full-time + 7 part-time).
