About Event:

National Semiconductor Technology Symposium(NSTS 2025) is organized by School of Electronics Engineering (SENSE) with the unifying theme, “Harnessing Semiconductor Frontiers through India-Centric Innovation, ” that brings together visionaries from academia, industry, and government to unlock transformative opportunities across the semiconductor value chain. We are thrilled to inform that Efftronics Systems Pvt. Ltd., the Information Technology Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITAAP) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are onboard as partners for the event. The event is sponsored by VIT-AP Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Microwave Theory and Technology Society(MTT-S) Student Branch Chapter. In alignment with the newly launched Andhra Pradesh Electronics Manufacturing Policy (4.0) 2024–29, the event is set to spotlight significant incentives—capital support, training subsidies, and industry-tailored initiatives—that position AP as a global electronics hub.

About the Department: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 2017 and became the School of Electronics Engineering (SENSE) in January 2019. At present, the School is headed by Dr. Umakanta Nanda. The School has qualified and committed faculty members who offer impressive instruction in a variety of modes, exploring experiential learning approaches and new pedagogical methods in order to provide proper learning to students. The School provides the necessary infrastructure, hardware, and software to support the faculty for their continuous learning and research. The programmes offered under SENSE are meticulously designed for a strong real-world application and industrial relevance. They range from the application of science in transforming semi-conductor materials as usable devices, which may be used to create “smart” innovative products, to enabling students design efficient, affordable, means and mechanisms for communicating information. At present, the following programmes are offered at the undergraduate and post-graduate level.
