12th edition of the Conference, “IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES 2026),” will be organized from 16th to 19th December 2026 at IIT Guwahati, Assam, India.
PEDES 2026 will feature distinguished keynotes, tutorials, and exhibitions on selected topics of contemporary interest. The conference will be a unique forum for the exchange of knowledge and information among the professionals across the globe in the area of power electronics, drives and energy systems. The major areas of faculty expertise of the Department include Power Systems, High Voltage Engineering, Electrical machines and Drives, Power Electronics, Control Systems, Instrumentation, Signal Processing, Speech Signal Processing, Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing & Computer Vision, Communication Systems, Computer Networks, Multimedia Security, Radar Signal Processing, RF and Microwaves, VLSI Systems and MEMS.
The Department is well equipped with modern laboratory facilities, which exposes the students to practical aspects of engineering problems. With a balanced emphasis on theory and experimental work, the Department trains motivated engineers and scientists of international caliber.
