About Conference: We are excited to announce that the 6th Human Resources International Conference (HRIC) is scheduled to be held at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in India. Previous HRIC conferences were successfully conducted in China, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa. We invite academics, practitioners, and students to share their insights, research, and expertise. In an era of emerging technologies, helping employees and leaders navigate the unprecedented technological disruptions has become critical.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become the next big landscape, which is evolving at an exponential pace. Its versatility has percolated into the domain of Human Resources, where AI-powered tools are increasingly assisting professionals. However, alongside the promise of this disruption, the needs of the employees are evolving, making it imperative to rethink sustainability in HRM and help them navigate the impact. The 6th HRIC aims to redirect the conversations toward disruption in the industry and explore how HRM can be reimagined to equip employees with the right skills and mindset to navigate the major changes dictated by these disruptions. Previous HRIC conferences have been conducted in China, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa.
Call for Papers:
The 6th HRIC thus invites the academic community to contribute to the theme of Sustainable Human Resource Management in the Age of Disruption. In this conference, we aim to redirect the conversations toward disruption in the industry and explore how HRM can be reimagined to equip employees with the right skills and mindset to navigate the major changes dictated by these disruptions. We welcome papers, posters, symposia, and professional development workshop submissions on a range of topics relevant to the conference theme.

- Digital Transformation in HRM:Â Exploring how technology, including AI is reshaping HR practices, including employee relations in remote and hybrid work environments.
- Future of Work and HR:Â Examining how HR can lead organizations through change as work evolves due to societal and technological shifts including ethics and common good HRM. It further includes investigating the challenges and strategies for managing a diverse, global workforce.
- Employee Safety, Well-Being, and Mental Health:Â Focusing on initiatives and policies promoting mental health, work-life balance, and overall well-being.
- Entrepreneurship and HRM:Â Exploring the intersection of entrepreneurship and HRM, focusing on how HR practices can support entrepreneurial ventures and foster innovation within organizations.
- The Role of HR in Environmental Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):Â Analyzing the role of HR in promoting sustainable practices and corporate social responsibility within organizations, such as Green HRM.
- Talent Management and Succession Planning:Â Focusing on innovative approaches to attracting, retaining, and developing talent in a competitive landscape including gig working, skunk teams/project-based organizations.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):Â Examining strategies for fostering inclusive workplaces and addressing systemic biases in HR practices.
- Indigenous Knowledge System and HR:Â Exploring how indigenous knowledge and thoughts can shape the HRM in the changing context.
- Poster Presentations: Encouraging informal and open dialogue between researchers providing a platform for networking and feedback. If accepted, researchers are expected to create a poster presentation summarizing their key research questions/ideas/findings.
