About Event:
This Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) aims to provide indepth knowledge and hands-on insights into the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques with power electronic controllers used in Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Renewable Energy Systems. The programme will focus on emerging AI-driven control strategies that enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of power converters, battery management systems, and grid-connected renewable sources. Expert sessions will explore AI applications such as predictive control, machine learning-based fault diagnostics, energy optimization, and intelligent decision-making in power electronic systems. This STTP is intended for faculty members, research scholars, and industry professionals working in the areas of power electronics, electric mobility, renewable energy, and AI applications in smart energy systems.

About Department: Established in 1984, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation. The department offers B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, M.Tech. in Power Systems Engineering, and Ph.D. programs (Full-Time/Part-Time). With all faculty members holding Ph.D. and an average experience of 14 years, the department maintains a healthy 1:24 faculty-student ratio. Key research areas include Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicles, Power Electronics, Control Systems, and Embedded Systems. The department has guided 18 Ph.D. scholars and currently mentors 09 active researchers. With over 150 publications in reputed journals and conferences, a citation count of 1510, and consultancy and training projects worth ₹133 lakhs, the department has a strong academic and industry presence.
